Old Town of Budva

The founding and to be named of the city is attributed to 2500-years-old mythological tradition. The city founded on Adriatic coast, has been protected by the people living there for a long time.
According to story, Budva founded by Cadmus, founder of Thebes, looking for a shelter for his wife, Goddess Harmonia when he was exiled out of Thebes.
Sea is the meaning of many things for Old Town of Budva. Thanks to sea, the city has become a trade centre and has been developed with this financial power.
Some buildings was damaged by earthquake in 1979 in Budva however at present these buildings are in their previous appearance.
